Nearly 100 guests convened at the Elks Lodge in Oceanside to participate in the American Legion Law & Order Awards including several Carlsbad city councilpersons, Oceanside Mayor Jim Woods, Carlsbad Police Chief Gary Morrison, Carlsbad Fire Chief Kevin Crawford and several high ranking officials from the California Highway Patrol, San Diego County Sheriff, Oceanside Fire Department, Oceanside Police Department, Carlsbad Fire Department and Carlsbad Police Department.
The luncheon was opened by the Oceanside Fire Department Color Guard followed by a wonderful hot lunch served by the great people at the Elks Lodge. Following lunch 7 individuals received medals for Merit, Heroism and Valor. This year’s awards were presented by the American Legion Post 146 and the Oceanside Elks.
Next year’s awards are scheduled for Saturday, March 15. Location to be announced.
